Art is a Luxury. Beauty is a Necessity.
My work is designed to help you invite the beauty of God's presence into your home, your office, and your daily life.
My Story
For years, I lived with a foot in two different worlds.
By day, I am an Engineer. I thrive on logic, analytics, and the intricate details of science. But by design, I am an Artist. Since I was a little girl, creative expression has been my native tongue—whether visually, vocally, and many things in between.
For a long time, I tried to keep these worlds parallel and separate. I viewed art through an economic lens: a luxury to enjoy only after the "real" work of bills and practical survival was done. I even found myself procrastinating on developing and sharing my work for fear of being judged for one reason or another.
Thankfully, I was wrong. I’ve spent the past 12 years learning that God doesn’t call us to be fragmented. He calls us to be whole.
Recently, I stumbled upon a field of science that studies of how beauty impacts our biology (it's called "neuroaesthetics", if you're interested). It confirms what my spirit already knew: our environments directly shape our neurology, our thoughts, and our peace.
I am deeply inspired by nature. God (the Ultimate Artist and Architect) didn’t just give us this beautiful masterwork for decoration. He gave us the sunset that stops us in our tracks and the wildflowers on the highway to ground us in His presence. As His image-bearers, we have the agency to adorn our spaces with that same intentionality.
Art isn't just a aesthetic extra; it is a tool for our spiritual and mental well-being.
I am not a traditionally trained artist. The ability I have to render figures is a gift I can only describe as divine. Because of that, I don’t just paint "pretty things."
Every piece I create comes from a deep place of truth. When you look at my work, you aren't just seeing paint on a canvas. You are actually seeing:
- Reminders of God's faithfulness: Snapshots of God’s mercy and patience our lives.
- Visual anchors: To shift the atmosphere of your room and space from chaos to Christ-centered peace.
- The narrative of grace: A living story of what it means to be a "fisher of men" in a modern world.
Why not curate a space that honors what and Who matters most?
Take a look through my gallery, not just with your eyes, but with your heart. Read the stories behind each piece. My prayer is that these paintings serve as a constant reminder of a love that is beyond comprehension, yet ever-present.
I’m Porschia Danielle. I am an Engineer by trade, an Artist by calling, and a follower of Christ by grace.
I use the canvas to talk about Him. I’m so grateful you’re here to listen.
