A Visual Call to the Horizon.
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." — Mark 16:15
"Gone Fishin’" is a response to the divine call for movement. This work explores the transition from being a passive observer of the world to becoming an intentional participant in the Great Commission.
The composition features a lone figure seated in a boat, gaze fixed upon a vast and beckoning horizon. It serves as a visual metaphor for the moment we decide to move with the current of the Spirit, setting aside the safety of the shore to become "fishers of men." The radiant, golden palette symbolically represents the Light of the World illuminating the path ahead, turning an uncertain journey into a purposeful mission.
Artistry & Detail. This 18x14" original acrylic painting captures the quiet weight of anticipation. The forward-facing orientation of the boat affirms that the journey is one of progress and purposeful casting. Every brushstroke on this studio-depth canvas is unique, creating a physical texture that reminds the viewer that the call to "go" is both a spiritual mandate and a practical, daily action.
